G. TAYLOR and his wife Olive TAYLOR of said county and State parties of the first part to Wiley DUPREE of said County and State party of the second part: Witnesseth, that the said parties of the first part in consideration of Five Dollars to them paid by said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and this deed do hereby bargain, sell, convey, confirm and deliver to said Wiley DUPREE and his heirs forever a certain piece or parcel of land in Vance Township, Lenoir Co., NC; near the land of R. C. HILL and described as follows, to wit: A piece of land measuring Thirty (30) feet square lying and being on the South side of Lousin Swamp, on a high hill, near the line of R.C. HILL and now used as the burial ground or graveyard of the family of Wiley DUPREE, and to be used hereafter from time to time, and all times as such burial ground by said Wiley DUPREE and heirs forever with full free and unobstructed ingress and egress to over and through the lands of said parties of the first part of which the thirty (30) square feet are a part unto said Wiley DUPREE and his heirs for any and all burial purposes or other purposes therewith connected or thereunto in any way, appertaining and with the further right and privilege unto the said Wiley DUPREE and his heirs to build erect or repair such fence or fences by which hear they may decree to enclose said burial ground or graveyard. To Have and to hold said piece or parcel of land with all rights, privileges and appurtenance thereto belonging unto the said Wiley DUPREE and his heirs in fee simple forever. And the said parties of the first part covenant that they are seized of said piece or parcel of land in fee, and have right to convey the same in fee simple-that the same is free from all incumbrance and that the said I. G. TAYLOR and his wife Olive TAYLOR for themselves and their heirs will forever warrant and defend the title to said thirty square feet of land unto said Wiley DUPREE and his heirs forever discharged from the claim or claims of any and all persons claiming by or through them. IN testimony where of the said I.G. TAYLOR and his wife Olive TAYLOR have hereunto set their hands seals day & year first above written. Isaac G. TAYLOR Olive (her mark) TAYLOR Witness: Lemuel TAYLOR North Carolina-Lenoir County I, Lemuel TAYLOR a Justice of the Peace in and for said County of Lenoir hereby certify that I. G. TAYLOR and Olive TAYLOR his wife this day formally appeared before me and duly acknowledged the execution of the foregoing Deed and the said Olive TAYLOR being by me reportedly examined from her said husband touching her voluntary execution of the same doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto.
