INDENTURE BETWEEN JOHN VERNOM AND FREDERICK BAKER (the copy is very 
difficult to read)

This indenture made the 27th day of November one Thousand Seven Hundred 
and Eighty Eight between John Vernom of Dobbs county in the State of North 
Carolina, planter of the one part and Frederick Baker of the same place, 
planter of the other part ----- granted, sold for (amount not readable)  
pounds ----- a certain plantation --- lying --- in the county of Dobbs and 
on the Southside of Loosing Swamp on the Hickory neck Branch beginning at - 
(most of the rest of the paper is not readable)  adj James Ingram
