Transcribed by Sloan Mason Ezekiel CREECH to Drury HILL, Deed for Land 141 acres 3 Dec. 1834 This Indenture made the 3rd day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four between Druree HILL and Ezekiel CREECH both of the County of Lenoir & State of North Carolina. Witnesseth that the said Ezekial CREECH for and Inconsideration of the sum of Two hundred & eighty two dollars to him in hand paid by the said Drury HILL the ---- thereof is hereby acknowledged the said CREECH consented and paid doth hereby bargin sell? all? On & confirm unto the said Drury HILL his heirs and assigns forever one certin tract or parcel of land lying on the southside of Wheat Swamp called the Joshua H. BYRD land is bounded as follows by Beginning at a stake at the Duck pond & runs north 49 west 198 pole to a pine Thomas HAUG---? (unable to read) --- BYRDS corner near the former plantation then north BYRDS line south 46 pole to a pine thence south 29 west 54 poles to a postoak then south 2 west 22 pole to a stake then south 55? West to Levi MEWBORN line in the marsh pond then north MEWBORN line to a black jack in Ezekiel CREECH line then with CREECH'S line north 17 east 68 pole to the beginning containing one hundred & forty one Acres to them with all houses and out houses way? Waters & watercourses then unto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have & to hold the said bargined land & privacies? Unto the said Drury HILL his heirs & assigns for Ever & every part & parcel thereof to the --- proper use & behoof of him the said Drury HILL his heirs Executors administrators & assigns with ---------- of him the said Ezekiel CREECH his heirs Executors Administrators or assigns forever & the said Ezekiel CREECH myself my heirs adm. & assigns the said bargin promices & every part thereof shall & will warrant & for ever defend by these presence unto the said Drury HILL his heirs & assigns against the lawful claims or claims of all & every person or persons whomsoever in witness where of I the said Ezekiel CREECH have here unto set my hand & seal in day & date above written, signed, sealed & delivered.
