Transcribed by Sloan Mason Indenture between Wm. H. CUNNINGGIM, Jr. and Penelope BELL 24 Feb. 1853 This indenture made the twenty fourth of Feb. 1853 between Wm. H. CUNNINGGIM, Jr. and Penelope BELL of the state and county aforesaid witnesseth that I the said Wm. H. CUNNINGGIM, Jr. for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and twenty five dollars to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby duly acknowledged do hereby bargain, sell, & confirm unto the sd. Penelope BELL his? Heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying on the south side of Wheat Swamp in the state and county aforesaid being bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake at the Duck pond & runs N 49° W 198 (# 64 written above 198) pole to a pine Nancy HODGES'S corner then south 46 pole to a pine then S 29° W 54 pole to a post oak then S 2° W 24 pole to a stake then S 35° W to Alexander WILSON'S and Sd. CUNINGGIM'S Corner, then with WILSON'S line to a Blackjack, Miller? CREECH'S corner then with CREECH'S line to the beginning. N. 19°? E 68 poles containing one hundred and sixty? One acres more or less to have and to hold with all the privileges thereunto belonging and I the sd. Wm. H. CUNINGGIM, Jr. do hereby bind myself my heirs and assigns to defend the right and title of the same unto the sd. Penelope BELL her heirs and assigns forever.
