BROTHERS-1858 This Indenture made the 28th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty eight between Blaney W. PRIDGEN of the County of Lenoir and State of North Carolina of the first part and Francis A. BROTHRS of the said county and State aforesaid of the second part witnesseth that the said Blany W. PRIDGEN for and of consideration of the sum of one hundred and ninety one 00/100 dollars to him in hand paid by the said Francis A. BROTHERS before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipts where of is hereby acknowledged and is content and satisfied hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said Francis A. BROTHERS his heirs and assings a certain tract or parcel of Land situated lying and being in the county of Lenoir & State of North Carolina and one the west side of Lenoir Institute and on the west side and in Grant of James M. PATRICKS and Mis. BALLANCE'S lots and bounded as follows, beginning at a stake of Charles F. SMITH corner and running north 19 1/2 W to L. BRANSAN'S corner then with L. BRANSAN'S line 176 yards to a ditch then S 19 1/2 E to Charles SMITH'S line then with SMITH'S line to the place of beginning containing five 1/9 acres be the same more or less to have and to hold the above bargained ---------- the right and title of said Land I the said Blany W. PRIDGEN do for myself my heirs and assigns forever warrant and defend unto the said F. A. BROTHERS his heirs and assigns against all lawful claim and claims of every other person or persons whatsoever in whomsoever they may be together with all the improvements impertenneces and priverliges there unto belonging in witness whereof I have unto set my hand and seal the day and date above written.
