Transcribed by Sloan Mason Boundaries of J. W. PATRICKS land-1859 Boundarys of J. W. PATRICKS land bought of Wm. H. CUNNINGGIM in the year eighteen hundred and fifty nine on the eighth day of January. Valued at eight thousand dollars and in the State of North Carolina and in the County of Lenoir and on the East side of Falling Creek and bounded as follows: Beginning at Roberts Marsh and runs at a marked corner and runs south 29 east 219 poles to James M. HINES, line then with his line south 85 west 113 poles 5 links to a stake then north 33 1/2 west 62 poles 17 links to a stake side of the road then with the road south 58 west, 141 poles 20 links to the run of Falling Creek to a ditch the mouth of Roberts Marsh then up said ditch its varius courses and its runoff Robert's Marsh to the beginning containing Two hundred and fifty acres more or less-also one other tract at Lenoir Institute on the East side of the public road bounded as follows beginning at a stake the south east corner of the Male Academy lot and runs north 19 1/2 west with the ditch then line of said lot 22 poles 20 links ot a stake then south 71 west 22 poles to the public road and with the public road north 19 1/2 west 26 poles to B. W. PRIDGENS corner then with his line North 76 east 236 poles to Mrs. Nancy HODGES corner then south 46 poles to a lightwood stump corner in Josiah BELLS lines formerly Drury HILL then with the varius courses of said line far enough so that a straight line to the beginning shall cut off enough land to make up three hundred acres including the afore mentioned tract lying on Falling Creek. W. H. CUMMINGIM says in case the first tract should fall short of - two hundred and fifty acres the amount is to be included with in the above lines of the lower tract so as to make three hundred in the whole another deed is to be given when the above land shall be run out, Signed by W.
