BROTHERS-1867 This Indenture made this the twenty five day of January one thousand eight hundred and sixty seven between Alexander WILSON of the county of Lenoir and State of North Carolina of the first part and F. A. BROTHERS of the said county and state afore said of the second part witnesseth that the said Alexander WILSON of the first part for and inconsideration of the sum of four hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged doth bargain and sell and by these presents doth grant and convey to the said F. A. BROTHERS of the second part his heirs and assignes forever a certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the county and state aforesaid at Lenoir Institute and joining the lands of the said F. A. BROTHERS and others beginning at a bridge across the street leading to a lot belonging to Luther BABBITT'S estate running south 73 W 15:7 thence N 19 W 6:12 with the line of 30:26 with said BABBITT lot and W. B. REID to T. B. DOZIERS line thence S 72 W 63: 18 with said DOZIER line to a branch thence down said branch to a road to T. P HARDY line thence N 57 1/2 E 27 thence N 54 E 16 thence N 72 E 24 thence N 51 1/2 2:5 thence N 76 E 16:1 thence N 76 E 13 with said HARDY'S line and the Road to J. J. DUKE line: thence S 20 1/2 E 53 chains 3 links with the said DUKES and F. A. BROTHERS, line to the first beginning containing thirty eight and one half acres together with all the appertainences tenements and privileged thereunto belonging and the said Alexander WILSON of the first part doth hereby covenant and agree with the said F. A. BROTHERS of the second part to defend the right and title of the above mentioned land to the quiet and peaceable possession of the said F. A. BROTHERS of the second part his heirs and assignes in fee simple for ever. In testimony where of I here unto set my hand seal this day and date above written. HARDY North Carolina Lenoir County Court, March Term 1867 Then was the foregoing deed of bargain, and sale from Alexander WILSON to F. A. BROTHERS exhibited in open Court and the execution thereof duly acknowledged by the bargain and ordered to be registered. Rec'd fifty cents State tax, from F. A. BROTHERS, March 18, 1867 N.
