MSA TO NANCY COTTON SUTTON, CA. 1857

Cousin Nancy:

             I forgot to ask you if you wanted me to 
knit your gloves for you to put cloth cuffs on them Do you?
or do you want them knit long? Are you going to have your 
quilting Saturday or not? I wish you would I have not Said,
anything about it to anyone not even to Percy. Mrs Johnson's 
has not come off yet She has not returned from Goldsboro 
yet I expect She will bring the whole town with 
her when She does come. I remain,
