I can inform you that my self and wife had a Seviar attack of the fever adn was under the doctor for several days thanks be to God. We have recovered again. I have found you neighbours in this Cuntry. I would not come with my family to poor old Duplin and be compeld to Stay there the Ballance of my days for the Best plantation in few miles of where I live given to me at present. I never expected to see sutch land in this state is good from ten to fifteen Barrels of corn & from 23 to 30 Bushels of Wheat hogs was raised with little corn and &? fallins? chiefly? on the most the pork drivers is plenty from other parties here in the fall to Bye pork. Corn is taken in Boats to Orleans & sold in the year the full in a flower Barrel $125 to $150 pr Barrel the Best of this land can be had for two and three dollars pr acre of Land in this County the 17 of April & Commenst pork the 23 J Rented Eight Acres of land and on that I made sixty too Acres of Corn measured besides best of coons & squirrels & ten shots from the time the squirrels began to cut I planted the 17 of May laid by the 18 of July I must close these to I rote soon after I Landed here to you and this is the Second without answer Sir please tell Mother that If she will make any shift to Come to this Cuntry that I will support her the Ballance of her day, if I ben the longest Liver?
