If I live and can have health and the blessings of heaven I hope to make money before I ever return if ever I do, I suppose I have a wife somewhere in N. Carolina and also a dear child. My child is all that I can – torn – for in this world, and for her I will live – torn – work and at some future day if – torn – live we will be together. I do not know – torn – I think I can get money enough to make – torn – independent at least I will try. If it were – torn – possible thing to make a reconciliation - torn – my dear wife then I would return and live with but unless that was to take place I never expect to make my home in N. Carolina again. – NOTE: crease in document – we all have our failings I have mine and I have been treated wrong ?? by others.
