Acct of Sale at the property of Lewis BARFIELD sold to satisfy an Execution in 
favor of Edward ALBERSON - 17th Oct. 1823
To Two fields of corn at 110 cents / bshl? bal. to E. ALBERTSON
To the picking of the fields to E. ALBERSON  /2 ---50
Two lot stacks to Wm. KORNEGY ---------------------50
One lot fodder to P. ALBERSON ---------------------2.00
The amount of the corn that E. ALBERTSON rec'd was seventeen barrels and one 
bushel

Know that we are held & firmly bound unto Whitfield Grady in the Pence Sum of 
Two Thousand Dollars for which repayment will & truly to be done with Bond 
amount vs and each of our heirs firmly by there signed with our hands & done at 
Duplin 17 October 1823.
The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas I the said Whitfield 
Grady have as a constable at the instant of the said Edward Albertson leveded on 
a certain field of Corn on the land of William Kornegay the said corn was 
leveded on as the Property of Lewis Barfield.  Now know ye that I the sd Edward 
Alberton do stand between the said Whitfield Grady & all Damage that he shall 
sustain for selling the said Property; and do bind myself and being an being the 
above sum to make to him all such Damages good as he shall sustain in course or 
touching the above property. The date above
