Resided in Lenoir County where he enlisted at age 21, April 17, 1861. 
Hospitalized at Charlottesville, Virginia, October 18, 1863, with a gunshot 
wound. Place and date wounded not reported. Furloughed on November 3, 1863. No 
further records.
