Bell, Joshua, Sergeant
Company C, 27th Regiment NC Troops
Resided in Lenoir County where he enlisted at age 25, April 17, 1861. Mustered 
in as Private and was promoted to Corporal on May 1, 1861. Promoted to 
Sergeant in March-April, 1862, but was reduced to ranks in May-June, 1862. 
Reappointed Sergeant on September 1, 1862. Present or accounted for until 
killed "in Virginia" in June, 1864.
