H., Private Company C, 27th Regiment N.C. Troops Resided in Lenoir County where he enlised at age 17, May 6, 1862, for the war. Wounded in the left shoulder at Wilderness, Virginia, on or about May 5, 1864. Returned to duty on or about July 20, 1864. Wounded in the right shoulder at Ream's Station, Virginia, on or about August 25, 1864. Reported absent on detached service from September-October, 1864, through Feburary, 1865.
