Grady, Chauncy Graham, Private
Company C, 27th Regiment NC Troops
Resided in Lenoir County where he enlisted at age 17, April 17, 1861. Mustered 
in as Private and was promoted to Corporal on May 1, 1862. Reduced to ranks 
subsequent to February 28, 1865. Captured at Sutherland's Station, Virginia, 
April 2, 1865. Confined at Hart's Island, New York Harbor, until released on 
June 19, 1865, after taking the Oath of Allegiance.
