Hill, James L., Private
Company C, 27th Regiment NC Troops
Resided in Lenoir County where he enlisted at age 20, February 1, 1863, for 
the war. Hospitalized at Richmond, Virginia, June 4, 1864, with a gunshot 
wound. Place and date wounded not reported. Returned to duty prior to November 
1, 1864. Present or accounted for until paroled at Greensboro on May 1, 1865.
