Lassiter, Stephen, Private
Company C, 27th Regiment NC Troops
Resided in Lenoir County where he enlisted at age 28, April 17, 1861. Mustered 
in with an unspecified rank and was promoted to 1st Sergeant on May 1, 1861. 
Reduced in ranks prior to July 20, 1861. Discharged on July 27, 1861. Reason 
discharged not reported. Later served as 2nd Lieutenant of 1st Company I, 36th 
Regiment NC Troops (2nd Regiment NC Artillery).
