Rouse, Thomas W., 2nd Lieutanant
Company C, 27th Regiment N.C. Troops
Resided in Lenoir County where he enlisted at age 30. Elected 3rd Lieutanant 
on April 17, 1861, and was elected 2nd Lieutenant on or about August 22, 1861. 
Present or accounted for until he died in a hospital at Petersburg, Virginia, 
August 6, 1862, of "bilious fever."
