Savage, David, Private
Company C, 27th Regiment N.C. Troops
Resided in Lenoir County where he enlisted at age 20, April 25, 1861. Wounded 
at Wilderness, Virgina, on or about May 5, 1864. Returned to duty prior to 
October 2, 1864, when he was killed in a "skirmish." Place of death not 
reported.
