Warters, Asa T., Private
Company C, 27th Regiment N.C. Troops
Born in Lenoir County where he resided as a farmer prior to enlisting in 
Lenoir County at age 34, April 17, 1861. Present or accounted for until 
discharged on July 16, 1862, by reason of being overage. Later served as 1st 
Sergeant of Company D, 1st Battalion, NC Local Defense Troops.
