Henry Rhodes - Revolutionary Service ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Delamar Extracts, Pgs 1-200 Legislative Papers Relating to Revolutionary Service NC Archives North Carolina Historical Commission Legislative Papers To the Honourable the General Assembly of North Carolina The Memorial of the Executors of Col'o Henry Rhodes Deceas'd sheweth that the Deceas'd Henry Rhodes stands charged in the Comptrollers office with the sum of £4480 pounds currency equal to £74:13:4 specie which the Comptroler has reported to be due from the Deceas'd and your Memorialists has found an account amongst the papers of the Deceas'd for sundry expenditures by him made agreeable to the use for which the above sum was drawed, namely to pay the bounty of the Militia Soldiers ordered out the first draft under Major General Caswell nearly to the amount of the whole sum draw'd which account had not yet been settled therefore your Memorialists humbly pray that your Honourable Body will take the same under mature consideration and grant your Memorialists relief by passing a resolve that the Treasurer forbear to bring suit agains your Memorialists until the riseing of the next General Assembly and that the Comptroller be directed to settle the account of the Deceas'd or to do whatever you in your vision shall think just and your Memorialists as in duty bound will pray &c Resolved dd.
