Kinston Free Press Wednesday, September 11, 1974
MIMA PARKER BLAND:  Mrs. Mima Parker Bland, 78, of Kinston Rt. 3, died Tuesday 
afternoon in Lenoir Memorial Hospital.  She was the widow of the late Bob 
Bland and the daughter of the late George Washington and Martha Jane Harris 
Parker.  Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday from Armenia 
Christian Church, with Rev. Richard Engle officiating.  Burial will follow in 
Westview Cemetery.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Miss Mamie Ruth Dawson of 
the home.  The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Jarman 
Funeral Home.
