BLAND. Furney Becton "Beck" Bland, 91, of 815-A Doctors Drive died Tuesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. He was a member of St. John's Church, Masonic Lodge, Shrine Club and Moose Lodge. He was a retired owner of Bland's Music Co. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday from Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Edward Privette officiating. Masonic graveside services will be at Westview Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eunice Newell Bland of the home; a stepson, David Gainey of Freeport, Texas; three stepdaughters, Mrs. James Elliot of Easton, Md., Mrs. B. C. Carlyle of Kinston and Mrs. Doris Dunn of Aurora; and 14 stepgrandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Home and other times at 815-A Doctors Drive.
