Camilla, Georgia. Rueben Edward Baisden, 83, died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. H. Smith, in Albany, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Sale City Baptist Church with the Rev. Luther Burton, the Rev. Quenton Barnes, and the Rev. C. I. Morgan officiating. Interment was in Sale City cemetery with Bramlett Funeral Home of Camilla in charge of arrangements. Mr. Baisden was born in Lenora County, North Carolina, Feb. 5, 1878. He was the son of the late Jim and Eliza Baisden. He was a retired merchant. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Namomi Barnes Baisden of Sale City; four daughters, Mrs. F. W. Smith, Mrs. C. H. Smith, Miss Ruth Baisden and Mrs. A. L. Luckey, Jr., all of Albany; a brother, Jim Baisden of Valdosta; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Smith of Valdosta; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. ______________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
