Lenoir County, NC - Obituary of James C. Dail, 1933 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mayor Dail Of Kinston Is Dead James C. Dail, 52, father of Roland Dail of Goldsboro, died of heart diease at his Kinston home Wednesday afternoon a short time after suffering a heart attack. He was mayor of his city. Funeral was to be held from the home at 4 o’clock Thursday afternoon with the Rev. Leland Cook of the Christian church officiating. Mayor Dail was a native of Greene county. He moved to Kinston as a youth. He engaged in the haberdashery business and later served as supervisor of sales on the tobacco market. He was defeated for renomination for a third term as mayor in the recent Kinston primaries. His term would have expired next month. Mr. Dail is survived by his widow, two sons, James C. Dail Jr., of Kinston, and Roland Dail, of Goldsboro; one brother, Walter Dail, of Greenville, and three sisters, Mrs. B.F.D. Albritton, of Hookerton; Mrs. W.J. Richardson, of Raleigh, and Mrs. L. L. Harvey, of Maury.
