July 26, 1811, Raleigh Minerva
   We are informed that a son of MR. DAVID SMITH of Lenoir County was killed 
by lightning on Friday last. He was ploughing when he received the shock. His 
horse was also killed. In addition to this, we understand that two or three 
persons and as many horses shared the same fate a few days ago in Pitt County.
