F. G. DUPREE to Stephen MCCOY

Lenoir County
This Deed made this the 27th day of December 1877 by Furney DUPREE of Lenoir 
County, State of North Carolina to Stephen MCCOY of the County and State 
aforesaid. Witnesseth That- Furney DUPREE in consideration of One Hundred and 
Thirty five Dollars paid by Stephen MCCOY the receipt of which is hereby 
acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain sell and 
convey to said Stephen MCCOY an this heirs a tract or parcel of land in Lenoir 
County, State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of Furney DUPREE, Abram MCCOY 
and others bounded as follows: Beginning on the river near the Graveyard and 
running with the road leading from Neuse Road to the river going eastward to the 
ditch near the gate then down the ditch to Abram MCCOY line then with his line to 
the river then up the river to the beginning continuing sixty acres more or less. 
To have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land and all the privileges and 
appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said Stephen MCCOY and his heirs and 
assigns tot heir own use and behoof and the said Furney DUPREE do covenant that 
he is seized of said premises in fee and the same is free from all encumbrances, 
and that he Furney DUPREE will warrant and defend the title to the same against 
the claims of all persons whatsoever.
In testimony whereof the said Furney DUPREE have hereunto set his hand and seal 
the day and year above written.

before me by the oath and examination of Seth WEST.
