He married Kathleen Taylor and they had two children, Katie Elizabeth Fordham who died in youth and a son. Ivey died at the age of 34 on April 15, 1925 and is buried with his daughter in the Colonel John Williams Cemetery. Obit reads: April 15, 1925 Funeral Ivey Fordham Held at Rural Point The funeral of Ivey Fordham, well-known Lenoir County man, was held this afternoon. Burial took place in a private cemetery. Mr. Fordham was 34 years of age. He died Wednesday at the residence of Joseph Williams, a relative in the Woodington Section. He is survived by a widow and two children. He was an employee of the Tobacco Growers Cooperative Associaton. Masons participated in the burial service, Mr. Fordham having been a member of that order. He was a son of Mr. & Mrs. Gaston Fordham and a brother of B. O. Fordham, William Fordham, Robert Fordham, Mrs. Jennie Smith, James Fordham and Mrs. Landon Humphrey of this city or section.
