Clerk’s Office in Kinston, NC.

1937 Will – James R. Daly

    I,  Jas. R. Daly, of the County of Lenoir and the State of N.C. being of 
sound mind and realizing the uncertainty of my earthly existence do declare 
this my last will and testament.
    I will and bequeath to my wife Emma S. Daly, a life estate in the House 
and Lot, in the town of LaGrange, known as the Renn property, and at her death 
to the heirs of her body.
    I will and bequeath to my two daughters Dorothy Daly Hill and Eleanor M. 
Daly and to my wife Emma S. Daly all of my personal property to be divided 
equally after expense of my burial is paid.
    It is also my desire that the proceeds from a life insurance policy of 
$2500 written by Pilot Life Insurance Company be also divided equally between 
the three parties mentioned above.
