I had a comment about  a certain portion of his "memories" I will enclosed the portion in my email:   “PHILIP [Sr] devoted all his attention to farming. After the Revolutionary War he moved to Lincoln County, NC, settling on Jujin Creek (or it might be Indian Creek), some of his children on the same creek, some of them settled on Clark’s Creek, some on Potter’s Creek near South Fork River. He had two sons, PHILIP [Jr] and John, two daughters, Magdalin, who married a man by the name of Shull [marriage records indicate he was Charles Sholl], Elizabeth married a Lantz, both had no children. Philip [Jr] married a Wagner in Pennsylvania, they had no children. PHILIP married Kistler and had one son who married Mary Rhoades. George married a Suchler, they raised a large family on Indian Creek, NC, Benjeyman a Dillenger and moved away, David moved to Kentucky, name of wife unknown to me…” “This is a sketch from memory made by me on the 30th day of December 1876, Signed by H.J. Anthony, wife Arvilla Griffin Anthony.” "I am descended from Phillip Anthony SR.'s  daughter, Frances 'Fanny' Anthony who married George Lantz in Lincoln County, N.C. They had three children. Frances and her heirs are mentioned in the will of Phillip Anthony, Sr. I suppose that Henry Jacob either was not aware of this or had forgotten it, because the 'Elizabeth' (who was probably Frances Fanny') he mentions 'had no children.'  "This is a quote from Phillip Anthony's will that you also contributed:  "Item-I give to my daughter Frances’s three children, the note of one hundred and eleven pounds, seventeen shillings, with as much more money to be levied out of my estate until it amounts to two hundred and twenty-five pounds. I also ordain my two sons, George and Daniel for these three above-mentioned children to divide above sum in equal shares when comes a??” [of age?]" "Fanny died in 1794 and is buried in Daniel's Churchyard by her husband George Lantz. Their children were Samuel, Johan Jacob and Elizabeth. Another child, Barbara, died young." "Again, I thank you for all that you have posted on the genweb. I just wanted to try to clarify things for those who see the letter and take it as absolute truth. Thank you again, Francys Lantz Phillips" File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/nc/lincoln/bios/anthony195bs.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/ncfiles/ File size: 3.0 Kb
