Written: July 9, 1800

  State of North Carolina   
 This INDENTURE  made the 9th Day of July in the Year of Our Lord 1800 Between 
John Glen of the County of Lincoln and the State of North Carolina of the One 
Part  and WILLIAM and ROBERT GLEN of the same State and  County...witness that 
for and in consideration of the love and good will he the said John Glen does 
bear to them, the said William, John, and Robert Glen (John seems to be struck 
through) hath given, granted, conveyed and confirmed & by these presents does 
grant, bargain, convey, and confirm unto the said William and Robert Glen their 
heirs and assigns forever All that part or parcel of land containing 350 acres 
more or less in the county of Lincoln on Mill Creek ?& the waters of Crowder's 
Creek joining John Lewis & others beginning at a Red Oak on John Lewises line, 
running thence south 60 west 128 poles to a Hickory thence north 65 west 48 
poles to a white Oak thence North & east 190 poles to a White Oak thence south 
85East 152 poles to a Black Oak thence South 20 poles to a hicory then north 25 
west 138 poles a post oak then north 43 east 138 poles to a hicory then south 16 
east 200 poles to a Spanish Oak on John Lewis line then with his line east 65 
poles to a Black Oak ...
