Written: July 22, 1829

  This Indenture made the 22nd day July AD 1829
Between John Glenn Jr., Samuel Glen, Lincoln County State of North Carolina 
witnesseth that for consideration of One Hundred  and thirty dollars to him in 
hand paid by said Samuel Glenn the receipt whereof the said John Glen doth 
hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained and sold unto the said Samuel 
Glenn his heirs and assigns forever All that Tract and Parcel of land situated 
lying and being in the county of Lincoln on the waters of Bigalow? Creek 
joining land of David Williams and others Beginning at a Maple in the head of 
a Hollow tree and thence North 23 West 10 polesto a large pine then North 72 
poles to a post oak in a rock? Then West 643.22 poles to a post oak David 
Williams corner thence South 57 East 90 poles to qa post oak his corner   then 
South 16 West 59 poles to a post oak South 12 East 102 poles to a Black Oak 
Williams corner  thence 68 ½ West 63 poles to a post oak a new corner thence  
North 77 west 100 poles to a post oak thence to the beginning corner 
containing by estimation 100 acres both same more or less with  all the 
privileges  to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to  have and to 
hold all the above mentioned land and mansions? unto him the said Samuel Glen 
his heirs and assigns persons against the claim or claims of the said John 
Glenn Jr and his heirs Exrs admrs or assigns and against the  claim or claims 
Of all other persons will warrant and forever defend the same with the B—b and 
bounds thereof unto the said Samuel Glenn his heirs and assigns forever in 
Witness whereof the said John Glenn doth hereunto set  his hand and seal this 
day and year above written
