JOHN WILFONG
of North Carolina

   John Wilfong applied for revolutionary pension while living in Lincoln
County, N. C., in October, 1833. He was born in North Carolina, April 8, 1762.
He enlisted in Lincoln County where he was living in 1780. He served in the
battle of King's Mountain where he was wounded in the left arm. He returned to
his home the next day after the battle. He volunteered again in July, 1781, and
was in the battle of Eutaw Springs.
