The Landmark 1885

The Lincoln Press says that not long ago SAMUEL KEEVER, who lives in the 
eastern part of Lincoln County, was plowing when a cloud came up. He glanced 
up at the cloud and at that instant a flash of lightning came and a large hawk 
which was flying high in the air between him and the cloud, fell dead at his 
feet.
