Oct. 6, 1837    Charlotte Journal
   DIED, at his residence, near Memphis, Tenn., on the 18th ult., COL. JOSEPH 
GRAHAM, a son of GEN. JOSEPH GRAHAM of Lincoln, N. C., aged 40 years. leaving 
an afflicted family and a large number of relatives and friends, by whom his 
loss will be deeply regreted. He was one of the early settles of the Western 
District, and received many testimonials of the confidence and respect of his 
fellow citizens.
