Nov. 15, 1844   Charlotte Journal
   DIED, at Hoylesville, Lincoln County, N. C., on the 18th of October last, 
ELI HOYLE, ESQ., aged 43 years, three months, and nine days, son of ANDREW 
HOYLE, ESQ. The disease which terminated the life of this truly useful man was 
of a nature that baffled medical skills, said to have been Liver Complaint and 
Dyspepsia. 
   He arrived from Alabama on the last of February indisposed and sank 
gradually seven and a half months until his death. He has left a wife (oldest 
daughter of ALFRED M. BURTON, ESQ.) and a son, together with four children by 
his former wife to moourn their irreparable loss, also one brother and sister 
and aged parents upwards of four score and ten years.
