Abstract of the will of Sarah Barber, widow of Capt. John Barber.


Sarah Barber, widow of Capt. John Barber, died in Lincoln Co,
NC on 2 Feb. 1830 and is buried in the Bethel Churchyard
Cemetery, York Co, SC at 84 years.  Her will was probated in
Lincoln Co, NC. Lincoln Co, NC Will Abstracts 1779-1910, compiled
by Miles S. Philbeck, Jr. & Grace Turner ca 1986.  68. Sarah
Barber 25 March 1811-April 1830. Mentions "land left me by my
husband."  Daus, Isabella, Sarah, Catharine, Jean, Anna, sons,
John & Robert exec:  Robert & John Wilson.  Witness John Wilson,
Adam B. Wilson, Robert Wilson.  Bk 1, pg. 188. John Barber's will 
was proven in Rutherford County, and his widow was listed in the 1800 
census, there but was later back in Lincoln County.
