Jane Moore - 1846 - Lincoln County, NC - Wills Submitted for use in the USGenWeb Project Archives by Phillip Sheppard, sheppard@hargray.com Will of Jane [Reid] Moore, recorded: Book 41, page 28: The State of North Carolina, Lincoln County To all people to whom these presents shall come Jane Moore of the county aforesaid Greeting Know ye that I Jane Moore for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which I have and bear unto my son in law Joseph and Mary Lawing his wife and for other good causes and considerations me hereunto moving have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the said Joseph Lawing and Mary his wife all and singular my goods and Chattels following heremention the goods One Horse and one Cupboard three Beds and furniture one set of Drawers One Clock, One Walnut Chest One Loom three tables House and Kitchen furniture too tedious to mention and my Dower of Land on which I now live and fifty Dollars in cash that is coming from Elizabeth Moore to the said Jane Moore to have hold and enjoy all and singular the said goods Chattels and Personal Estate aforesaid unto the said Lawing and wife his Executors Administrators and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Joseph Lawing and Mary Lawing his Executors Administrators and assigns ______ only proper use and behoof of the said Lawing his Executors Administrators and assigns forever and I the said Jame Moore all and singular the aforesaid goods and Chattels and premesis to the said Lawing his Executors Administrators and assigns against all persons whatsoever shall and well warrant and forever defend by these presents in Witness hereunto I set my hand and affix my seal this the 20th day of April 1846 Jane Moore (seal) P Cansler P Pollard N.B.
