First, I commit my soul to God who gave it, and my body (after deceased) to beburied in a decent christian manner. And as touching much worldly goods, as God in his provision hath blessed me within this life, I will to be disposed of in the following manner; Viz: to my beloved wife Mary, I bequeath one third part of my household furniture together with her wearing apparel, during her natural life. To my son Balser, I bequeath the other two thirds of my household furniture, and at the decease of my wife, he is to receive the other third part, provided he support and maintain her during her natural life, and as my daughters, Eve Margaret and Catherine hath received to the amount of sixteen pounds, their whole part. I will and ordain that my son Balser shall pay my daughter Ann in Pennsylvania, the sum of sixteen pounds lawful money of this state. I do hereby constitute and appoint my son Balser my sole executor of this my last will and testament. In witness where of I have here unto set my hand and seal this twenty third day of May, One thousand seven hundred and eighty six.
