State Archives citation is CR 060.501.2, at pages 131,133,139,142 and 143. The NC State Archives microfilm citation is reel C.060.5002. Transcriptions are within quotation marks. [Matter within brackets was inserted by the contributor to hopefully assist with interpretation or missing punctuation helpful to the reader. There are very few commas or periods in the documents.] It appears from these documents that Joseph Kendrick died in the latter part of 1834. At that time, Lincoln County included the current Gaston County and extended to the South Carolina border. This Joseph Kendrick does not appear to be one of my ancestors, but the documents transcribed below may prove to be of some interest to others. ************************************************************************ PAGE 131-WIDOWS YEAR'S ALLOWANCE "January Sessions 1835" [Apparently applies to second document on the page.
