All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Greg Little glittle1@hotmail.com July 13, 2009, 7:00 am Source: North Carolina Archives Written: January 25, 1791 In the Name of God Amean the Twentififth Day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Nintey one I Thomas Littel of Lincon County and State of North Carolina Being Sick in Bodey but in Perfit mind and Memorey Thanks to God for his Mercies: But Calling to mind the Mortality of the Bodey and knowing that it is apointed for all men once to Die First I Recomend my Soul to allmighty God that give it me and my Bodey to Dust to be Buyred after a Decent Christian Maner Not Doubting But at the Great Resurection I Shall Receive the Same by the Mightey Power of God and as Toching my Worley Substance that it has Pleased God to Bestow on me in this Life I Leave and Bequeth in the Folowing Manor and form – First I Leave and Bequeath to my Well Beloved Wife Lisey Littel the Third Part of the Land that I live on and the Choice of any one of my hors creatures and the Choice of two Cows out of the Stock one only Excepted and the Choice of one Bed and Furniture out of all the Beds in my house and the Rest of the furniture that Belongs to the house Excepting the other beds and a Large Pot as Long as She Remains my Wido and If She Maries to be Devested of any Right to any Part of the Land and Longer Second I Leave and Bequeth to my Well Beloved Son William Littel the Land that I Live on Except his Mothers third as Long as She Lives or Remains a Widow then to Be Intitled to the hole of it to him and his heirs and all the hors Creatures and Cattel Hogs and half of the Sheep to his Mother and the Plows and all -- Tools of Iron or Steel Belong to the Plantation and a Large -- in full Except the hors Creature to his Mother and the two Cows aforeMentioned and third Choice of our Cows to his Sister Fanney Which I Leave and Bequeth to my Beloved Daughter and I Leave and Bequethe to my oldest Daughter five Shillings Sterling and Likewise my Second Daughter Marthe Bickerstaf five Shillings --- Sterling Likewise Leave and Bequeth to my third Daughter Marey Cleaton five Shillings Sterling Likewise to my Beloved Daughter Elizabeth Fisher five Shillings Sterling and Likewise I Leave and ------------Reachel haukens five Shillings Sterling and Likewise I Leave and Bequeath to my Well Beloved Easter hauckens five Shilings Sterling Likewise I Lave and Bequeath to my Beloved Daughter Jean Hill five Shillings Sterling Likewise I Leave and Bequeathe to my Beloved Daughter to my Well Beloved Daughter Faney the third Choice of one of the Cows as above Mentioned and I Appoint my Son William Littel and his Unchel James Littel to be my hole and Sole Executors and none other Revocking all other Executors and former Wills and Testiments and this to be my Last Will and Testiment Signed Sealed and Delivered in Presence of us Fras McCorkle Thomas Little (seal) John Allen thos Bell Additional Comments: All spellings are as document true as possible.
