Will of John Ramsey

In the name of God, Amen

I John Ramsey of the County of Lincoln and State of North Carolina being of 
perfect mind
and memory blessed by God to this tenth day of July in the year of Our Lord 
1789 make and 
Publish this my last will and settlement in manner and form following: that is 
to say...

And first I will that all my just debts be paid by my executors herein after 
named and my 
body to be decently buryed (sic) in a Christianlike manner by my Executors 
herein after named.

And secondly I will and bequeath to my well beloved wife Martha all that 
property of which she was
possessed of or before her marriage with me and now in my posssession and also 
one third of all my
personal estate to be in proper life.

And thirdly I will and bequeath to my first daughter Jane Baldridge the sum of 
five shillings.

And fourthly I give and bequeath to second daughter Mary Jones (wife of 
Richard Jones) the sum
of five shillings and fifty.  I will and devise to my grandson John Jones all 
the remainder of my
real and personal estate to his proper life and behalf  of forever.

And lastly I hereby make and ordain John Jones and my well beloved wife Martha 
Executors of
this my last will and Testament.

Sealed with my Seal and Dated the Day and year above written.
