Located in Lincoln County Wills, 1769-1926, Regan-Rozzelle, call number C.R.060.801.22 Last Will and Testament of Isaac Robinson 1808 In the Name of God Amen I Isaac Robinson Senr of the County of Lincoln and State of North Carolina Being of sound and perfect mind and memory (Blessed be God) do this thirty first day of January in the Year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Eight make and publish this my last Will and testament. In manner following, That is to say, 1st I will that I be buried in a decent Christian manner without pomp or flare at the discretion of my Executors here after named. 2nd I will that all my debts be paid by my Executors here after named. 3rd I will to my Son Elijah Robinson the plantation where on he now lives containing by Estimation One hundred and Eighty-One acres be the Same more or less, as laid off by Alexr Green. 4th I will to my Son Isaac Robinson the plantation whre on he now lives containing by Estimation One hundred and Thirty five acres, be the same more or less, as laid off by the [?] Alexr Green. 5th I will to my Son Joshua Robinson the Plantation whereon he is now improving containing by estimation One hundred and Forty Acres be the same more or less as laid off by Alexr Green. 6th I will to my son James Robinson the plantation whereon he now lives containing by Estimation One hundred and ten Acres be the same more or less, as laid off by Mr. J Alexr Green. I also will to my Son James what remains in my possession of Forty five Acres of Land laid off by the G Alexr Green for Jesse Robinson and the G James. [?] 7th I will that my Executrix and Executor hereafter named make titles to each of the afforementioned heirs of their Respective Lands Agreeable to their respective plats made best by the G Alexr Green Surveyor. To them and each of them their heirs, and assigns forever: other titles so made shall be as Valid in Law as though I had made them. 8th I will to my son Joseph Robinson the tract of land I bought of Robert Alexander Esqr laying on the South side of my Mill plantation containing by Estimation One hundred and Fifty acres be the same more or less. 9th I will to my son Abraham Robinson A tract of land laying on the East side of my Mill plantation containing by Estimation One hundred and Fifty acres be the same more or less. 10th I will that my Executrix and Executors hereafter named shall make titles to each of the affore mentioned heirs Joseph and Abraham when they arrive at the age of Twenty-one Years, Their heirs and assigns [?] for they affore- mentioned Lands, each their respective part and Titles shall be as Valid in Law as if I myself had made them. 11th I will to my beloved wife Catherine Robinson together with my son Jesse Robinson the plantation whereon I now live together with the Mill and all other Improvements thereon, during her life and at her death to him the [?] Jesse his heir and assigns forever. And if in case my son Jesse should marry I will and order that my beloved wife Catherine shall have Authority over all the present lands [?] during her life. 12th I will to my daughter Priscilla one good bed, bed stead and Goode furniture together with One sorrel mare colt one Good cow and calf [?] at this time Exclusive) Six pewter plates A large dish and bason and one good [illegible]. 13th I will to my son Jesse one cow and calf and one two year old, one pewter dish and three plates. 14th I will to my son Joshua one pewter dish and three plates. 15th I will to my son Abraham one Gaymare colt, one cow and calf one saddle and bridle one pewter dish and three plates. 16th I will to my son Joseph my sorrel horse colt, one saddle and bridle, one cow and calf, one pewter dish and three plates. Also A Negroe boy named Jeffery to him his heirs and assigns forever. 17th I will to my daughter Catherine one Negroe boy named Alexander to her and her heirs forever. Also one good bed bed stead and Furniture A large pewter dish A bason six pewter plates and one cow and calf. 18th I will that my old black Mar, and Bay Mar be sold by me Executrix ad Executors hereafter named, as they think most Advantageous and the [?] thereof be first to paying my debts and funeral expenses [?] be first to doing off the house I have more one hands, for the better Recommadation of my beloved wife and family. 19th I will to my beloved wife to be at her disposal forever one black Mar named Doll, and one bay Horse named Fox, her saddle and bridle. Two good beds bedsteads and furniture, her wheels reel cotton and flax, all other my house and kitchen, Furniture not her before mentioned, and all Leather and hides to [?] belonging, together with all my sheep and green cattle and Hogs and Grain of every land. 20th I will to the heirs of my son in law Basil Dorry Durrand five Shillings. 21st I will that my Negroes Esther and Charity together with all my Farming Utensials remain and be in possession of my well beloved wife during her life, and at her death they be sold at publick sale and the price thereof Equally divided amongst my children hereafter named, that is to say, Elijah, Knancy [?], Isaac, Joshua, James, Jesse, Abraham and Priscilla. 22nd And lastly I nominate and appoint my well beloved wife Catherine Robinson executrix and my son Jesse Robinson and William Nisbit Executors of this my last will and testament and I do by these presints revoke and disanull [?] all former wills by me made testifying and confesoning this my last will and Testament, In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the day and year above written.
