Lincoln County, NC - Will - Capt. John Weer - April 27, 1818 In the Name of God Amen I John Weer of the State of North Carolina Lincoln County Being in Perfect mind and Memory Do Make this my Last will and testament. First I Give and bequeath to my wife Elisabeth During her Natural lifetime the house that we now live in and a Sufficient Support from the farm where we Now live and also two Cows to be at her Disposal and her Bed and furniture. Also and Whereas I have Sometime Since Allowed to my Son Robert Weer a Certain Part of my Land who has Since Sold the Said land to my Son Thomas Weer and it is my will and Desire that my son Robert Shall be Content with what he has Received for Said land of all my estate. Also I Give and Bequeath to my Son in law William Farquhar Two Dollars Also I Give and Bequeath To my Son in law Robert Nixon or the heirs of my Daughter Elisabeth Two Dollars I Also Give and Bequeath to my soninlaw Richard Crow Two Dollars and a Shot Gun that he has now in his Possession Also I Give and Bequeath to my Son John Weer All my lands on the East Side of Buffeloe Creek and South of Murpheys Branch Also I Give and Bequeath to my Soninlaw John Berry Two Dollars Also I Give and Bequeath to my Son Thomas Weer all my lands on the Southeast of Buffeloe Creek and Northwest of Murpheys Branch and Also all my lands on the west side of Buffeloe Creek -- I leave to my Son Thomas Weer in way of Support for My Two Daughters Sarah and Jean While they are Single or Unmarried. Also I Give and bequeath to my Daughter Sarah Weer a Black horse/crossed out/ Mare which She now Claims Also the Cows that She Now Claims Also her bed and Furniture Also a Chest of Drawers I Also Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Jean a Grey Mare that She now Claims & all the Cows that She now Claims. Also her Bed and Furniture.
