MACON CO., NC - CEMETERIES - McConnell Cemetery, Otto, NC ==================================================================== Directions: From Otto, take Tessentee Road. Go about 3/10 mile. Turn right onto Middle Creek Road. Go about 2 1/2 miles. On the right, you will see a barn, a shed, and a concrete silo just before a one- lane bridge. This cemetery was turned into a pasture and all the stones knocked over. It is now virtually impossible to tell where the old cemetery was. The only record existing of who was buried here is the old Historical Records Survey made in 1940 by Horace J. Hurst. What follows is a transcription of that survey. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Worker: Horace J.
