Directions: From Hardee's in Franklin, go approximately four miles on Hwy. 441 N. Turn left on Noah Gibson Rd. The road turns to gravel road, follow it about 1/10 of a mile to Oak Ridge School Rd. Follow that till the road forks, stay to the right. Cemetery is at the top of the hill. There is a large stone in the front of the cemetery that reads: Established 1800's. Original site of the Oak Ridge Methodist Episcopal South Church Cemetery Founded May 12, 1912. On the back is a quotation, then "In memory of Confederate Soldier George Jasper Thompson" October, 1999 by his beloved Granddaughter, Mattie Belle Buchanan. C. W.
