COURT.

Following is a synopsis of the cases disposed at the last term of the Superior
Court. 

State vs. Henry and Pink Thomas, convicted in five cases. Judgment suspended
on payment of cost upon condition that they give land for their good behavior.


State vs. W.J. Dillingham. Submitted, Judgment suspended. 

State vs. Robt. Tilson and Walt Quisenberry. Judgment suspended. 

State vs. Joe Gray for larceny. Prosecutor failed to appear <unable to read
judgment>

State vs.  Can Young, Guilty in two cases. Judgment suspended. 

State vs. Rosede Parton, Guilty, Three months imprisonment. 

State vs. A.S. Bryson. Judgment suspended. 

State vs. Aleck Berry, Guitly. Judgment suspended on bond for good behavior. 

State vs. J.F. Ray and C.C. Daniels, submitted, Judgment suspended. 

CIVIL CASES Alley vs. Town of HIghlands, Judgment for plaintiff in the sum of
$178. 

Russell vs. Woods, compromised. 

Edwards vs. Guyer, compromised. 

Deal vs. Evitt Non suit

McGaha vs. French Broad Lumber Co., judgment for plaintiff in the sum of
$1000.00

Teague vs. Gay Non suit

Bryson vs. Town of Franklin, non suit. 

Duvall vs. Downs and Higdon, Settled by agreement. 

Roane vs. R.E. Johnson, Judgment for plaintiff in the sum of $360. 

Cochran vs. Smith, Judgment for plaintiff. 

May vs. Heighway and Daniels, compromised. 

Stewart vs. Stewart, judgment for plaintiff. 

Lawson vs. Merritt, judgment by default. 

Bryson vs. Wray & Wells, judgment by default and inquiry.
