MACON COUNTY, NC - DEEDS - Alfred Foster to John Foster, 1873 ==================================================================== Submitted by Gigi Foster Creel (gigicreel@attbi.com) Macon Co., NC, GRANTEE Book N Page 392 This indenture made and entered into this the first day of April one thousand Eight hundred & seventy three Book N Page 393 between Alfred Foster of the first part of the County of Macon & State of North Carolina and John Foster of the second part of the County and State aforesaid witnesseth that the said Alfred Foster hath bargained and sold and by these presents so bargain and sell a certain piece or parcel of land to the John Foster lying on the waters of Tennessee River & Commissioners Creek for the consid- eration of six hundred Dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged section No. 21-Dist 14 Beginning on a Sycamore on the West bank of Tennessee River one hundred forty poles to a hickory thence south one hundred & thirteen poles to a post in state line then with the state line East one hundred & twenty Eight poles to a White Oak on the bank of the river then down its meander to the Beginning Containing one hundred and twenty Eight acres more or less. Also one other Lot No 22 Beginning at a Hickory thence West one hundred twenty poles to a black Pal then south seventy poles to a hickory then East one hundred & twenty poles to a Chestnut thence North seventy poles to the Beginning. Also one other tract being Entry No 2372 entered by John Dryman Beginning at a Chestnut in the line of No. 21 south forty five poles to a Stake in the Georgia line, thence West one hundred sixty-four poles to a Stake in said line thence North sixty four poles to a Black Oak thence East forty-four poles to a hickory thence south twenty poles to a hickory thence East one hundred & twenty poles to the Beginning Containing 500 acres Being Alfred Foster one half undivided interest in the above described land together with all Woods, Waters & Mines hereditaments and the said A. Foster doth bind himself his heirs & assigns to warrant and defend unto John Foster his heirs & assigns Book N Page 394 forever.
