MACON COUNTY, NC - DEEDS - J.D. Dryman, in consideration of the sum of Twenty Five Dollars to me paid by Samuel Foster of Macon County North Carolina, the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge do hereby give grant sell and convey unto the said Samuel Foster his heirs and assigns that parcel of land or tenement situated in the County of Macon and State of North Carolina Bounded as follows to wit. Containing fifty acres on the waters of Commissioners Creek 14th Dist. No. 606. Beginning at a Chestnut in the line of No. 121 Runs South forty-five poles to a stake in the Georgia line, thence West one Hundred Sixty four poles to a stake in said line. Thence North Sixty-five poles to a (Book? Brook?). Thence East Forty-five poles to a Hickory. Thence South Twenty poles to a Hickory. Thence East One Hundred and twenty poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the a- forgranted primacies to the said Samuel Foster his heirs and assigns to his and there use and behoof forever, and I the said J.D. Dryman do hereby for my self and my heirs executors and administrators covenant with the said Samuel Foster his heirs and assigns that I am lawfully seized in fee simple of the aforegranted primacies that they are free of all incumbrance that I have good right to sell and convey the same to the said Samuel Foster, and that I and my heris Executors and administrators will warrant and defend the same primacies to the said Samuel Foster his heirs and assigns for ever against the lawful Claims and demands of all persons, no witness whereof I the said J.D. Dryman have hereunto set my hand and seal the 28th December in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and fifty seven. Attest J.D. Dryman John Foster Wm. N. Jones In the probate. The execution of the witness Deed from J.D. Dryman to Samuel Foster was this day 29th Sept. 1869 proven before the undersigned by the oath and examination of John Foster one of the sub scribing witnesses thereto.
