Bradley & wife M.V.(N.) Bradley of Macon County, and State of North Carolina of the first part, to W.A. Foster & wife Cora M. Foster of Macon County, and State of North Carolina of the Second part, witnesseth: That said J.P. Bradley & wife M. V.(N.?) Bradley in consideration of Sixty-Five Dollars the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain, sell and convey to said W.A. Foster & wife Cora M. Foster and their heirs, and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land in Macon County, State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of Blue Ridge & Atlantic Railway & J.P. Bradley and others, bounded as follows, viz: Beginning at a Stake in the line between J.P. Bradley & Foster & Smart: thence Northward 12-1/2 poles to a Stake 9 feet North East of the North East corner of Foster Store house, thence S. 78 E. 32 feet to a Stake: thence North 68 feet to a Stake thence N. 78 W. to the Blue Ridge & Atlantic Railway: thence Southward with said railway line 17-1/8 poles to a Stake in Foster & Smart's line: thence S. 78 E. to the beginning. Provisions are hereby made that J.P. Bradley shall have the privil- edge of a roadway with a gate on the (Cont'd) Macon Co., NC Grantees Book YY-Page 219 North side of the Store house where it now is to Have and to Hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtunances thereto belonging to the said W. A. Foster & wife Cora M. Foster and their heirs and assigns to their only use and behoof forever. And the said J.P. Bradley & wife M.V. Bradley covenanteth with said W. A. Foster & wife Cora M. Foster their heirs and assigns that they are seized of said premises in fee, and hath right to convey the same in fee simple, that the same are free and clear from incumbrances and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons ( ???? ), In testimony whereof, the said J.P. Cabe, hereby certify that J.P. Bradley and Mary V. Bradley his wife appeared before me this day, and acknowledged the due execution of the annexed deed of conveyance and the said Mary V. Bradley being by me privily examined separate and apart from her husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto, witness my hand, this the 2nd day of August, 1906.
